Environment model
Vanta Crest should operate with separate sandbox and production environments, each with isolated credentials, endpoints, and operational controls.
- Sandbox is for integration and workflow validation.
- Production access is approved only after implementation review.
- Credentials should be rotated on a documented cadence.
Access controls
Operator access should be granted by role, not by shared mailbox or informal handoff. Every integration owner needs a named technical and commercial contact.
- Use dedicated credentials per environment.
- Document ownership for each credential set.
- Keep audit trails for credential issuance and changes.
